HERE’S THE PROBLEM:

IT IS ABSURD that we can give away water bottles at an art fair …. but not to people waiting in long lines to vote.

HOW WE GOT HERE.

Following the 2020 election, Georgia lawmakers introduced a bill thatbans handing out food or drinks to voters in line. They did this after Vote.org handed out water bottles to voters who had to wait - in some cases - for hoursto vote. They came after Vote.org over water bottles.

Georgia lawmakers then passed a bill that BANNED us from giving out food or water to voters that often waited in line for hours.

Long lines at the polls have been found time and again to disproportionately impact young voters and voters of color. Long lines are intentional - they closed polling places in specific, targeted communities, and then banned food and water to those same voters waiting in line. They want people to give up and not make their voices heard.

IT’S NOT JUST WATER BOTTLES…

Anti-voter lawmakers are using any avenue available to make voting lessaccessible. Vote.org is fighting these laws head on, but in the meantime, theorganization is helping voters navigate these new laws.

From registration tools, mail-in ballot requests and timely, importantupdates about laws and policies that may affect how you can vote, Vote.org ishere to take out the guesswork of voting.

SUPPORTING
VOTE.ORG IS SUPPORTING DEMOCRACY

We’re investing in a democracy building movement, because the opposition is investing in a voter suppression movement.

And it needs to be as well-funded as the oppositions is, because they have money and access. But we have the most potent force in America: the collective will of the voters.

Supporting Vote.org is supporting.
